The 750 Motor Club
The 750 Formula is for 2-seater sports racing cars, introduced by the 750 Motor Club in 1949, as its first racing formula.
Sue Buxton overtaking a Bentley at Silverstone, 6 hour relay race, 2004.
The regulations provide ample scope for the amateur to design & build his/her own car, & to develop skills in chassis/suspension design & engine tuning within carefully controlled limits.
There are currently 2 engine options, either the highly tuned Reliant 850cc engine (Reliant Robin) or the unmodified Fiat “FIRE” 1108cc engine, the latter introduced in 2003 due to the diminishing supply of spares for the Reliant engines. All cars run on a control Yokohama slick tyre.
